director, such as "Sailor-fuku to kikanju" (1981 year:Somai
Shinji). Moreover, it dealed also with the scenario caught from the original viewpoint, and in 1992 an original scenario "Charisma" was awarded Sundance institute scholarship, and visited America for movie training. 1997 "CURE" was sent in the Tokyo International Film Festival and it won popularity for Best Actor (Yakusho Kouji ). 1998 "Licence to Live" was awarded the Asia movie prize, and special mention at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Moreover, it acted as a chief lecturer of "The Film School of Tokyo" from this year. In 1999 "Licence to Live" was formal invitation to the Berlin International Film Festival. Moreover, in Iran International Festival of Film, he acted as a judge'. In 2001 "Kairo" won the FIPRESCI Critics' Prize at Cannes Film Festival.
